Removing Permanent Marker from Fence

A neighbor's kid wrote on my fence with permanent marker. Any ideas for removing it?

Your removal method depends on what your fence is made of. If it's wood and the marker soaked in, you'll have to prime it and paint over the damage. If the fence is vinyl (or another non-porous surface), try WD-40. Stain removal is of the many household miracles WD-40 is good for, and works particularly well on ink.
