Moen MotionSense Kitchen Faucet Simplifies Everyday Tasks
Summary: Tom Kraeutler from The Money Pit demos MotionSense from Moen, which simplifies everyday tasks with a hands-free kitchen faucet experience that responds to users’ simple hand movements to activate water flow. MotionSense allows you to wash hands, clean dishes and prepare meals with greater convenience and water savings, and reduce the risk of cross-contamination and spread of germs.
TOM: Hi, I’m Tom Kraeutler from the Money Pit with a new hands-free faucet for your kitchen. The Moen MotionSense Hands-Free Kitchen Faucet, available in the Arbor Pulldown design, is activated by simple hand movements, allowing you to wash hands, clean dishes, and prepare meals with greater convenience and water savings.
There are three ways to turn on the MotionSense faucet. The wave sensor at the top starts and stops the water flow with this simple hand movement from above just like this. The ready sensor near the base knows when an object like a cup or user’s hand is placed beneath the spout, and it runs the water for as long as that item remains in the range. There’s a handle on the side of the faucet for manual operation.
The MotionSense faucet is powered by either a battery pack or an optional AC adapter, and it has an LED indicator light that signals on and off modes, as well as ones for low batteries. Moen’s Arbor Pulldown Kitchen Faucet is the first faucet available with MotionSense, it has a transitional styling and it comes in chrome, oil-rubbed bronze, or spot-resistant stainless finishes.
