I heard on one of the Money Pit programs that I could flip the boards on a weathered deck and use the underside. What is the best way to pry the boards up without splitting the wood? — At the nails, in the middle of the board? Also what tool should I use for this? Thanks!
Our Answer
Cheryl, there’s a cool little tool called a “cat’s paw” that can be used to dig in and pry up the nails from the face. It damages the face but that won’t mater since that is the place that will become the underside of the board once it is flipped.
