Shopping for a new appliance and not sure what to buy? All the choices can be daunting, but there’s an easy rule of thumb you can follow. Although appliances may look the same from the outside, there are many differences under the hood. When replacing yours, choose Energy Star-rated appliances. This designation means the appliance exceeds Department of Energy guidelines for efficiency by at least 10%. In addition to saving money on your energy bills, you may also be eligible for rebates offered by your local energy supplier.
