Weeds Show Gardening Success
TOM: Weeds in your lawn and garden may feel like the enemy but they can actually hold clues to gardening success. In this Money Pit Home Improvement Minute, we will show you how weeds show gardening success. Hi, I’m Tom Kraeutler.
LESLIE: And I’m Leslie Segrete with today’s Money Pit Home Improvement Minute.
TOM: Are you feeling crabby about all that crabgrass? Well it might mean your yard is too closely cropped. Raise the height of your mower blades to keep crabgrass and other weeds at bay.
LESLIE: Plantain weeds share a name with the food, but are far less appealing. Improve drainage and grading and water the area less frequently for fewer plantain sightings. And a healthier lawn and garden.
TOM: And a lawn covered in white clover weeds can have you feeling less than lucky. Turn that luck around by adding fertilizer. It’ll infuse your yard with nitrogen, which fends off those small, white buds and beefs up other vegetation in the process. I’m Tom Kraeutler.
