Learn tips to keep your home safe by visiting Safe Kids Worldwide, a site dedicated to keep kids safe at home, and beyond. Get tips to protect yourself and your family from the leading causes of home injury, including falls, poisonings, fires and burns, choking/suffocation and drowning.
By encouraging families to tackle safety dangers room-by-room, by age and by risk – and by providing the simple steps they can follow, Safe Kids Worldwide aims to curb the nearly 20,000 deaths and 21 million medical visits that result from home injuries on average each year.
Safe Kids Worldwide research reveals that U.S. adults rank the kitchen, bathroom and stairway/hallway as the most dangerous rooms of the home. Although the majority of the adults surveyed recognize the presence of injury risks in these areas, nearly half (45 percent) admit they have not taken action to make any of the rooms in their home safer. Even if half of the adults do not use the safety tips, it is still helpful to those who want to learn how to better protect their home and their family.

I had no idea that the most dangerous place for injuries in the home was the kitchen but I guess it makes sense with so much food and drinks all over the place! 🙂
