My parents just got new laminate floors to replace their carpet. They have large dogs who drool alot and knock things over, like your glass of water. They also track in alot of mud and dust. My mom is disappointed that the floor has more and wider seams/cracks between the pieces than she would like. She doesn’t want moisture and/ or grit getting in the cracks and sticking there. Is it possible or advisable to have the floors sealed, like with polyurethane or something like that? Thanks!
Our Answer
Ooooo, drooling dogs! What a great visual. : -). No, you can not seal laminate floor, nor is it necessary. It is designed for damp areas so dog drool or the occasional glass of water won’t affect it!
