TOM: Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s the average household generates 25 percent more trash. That’s why it’s more important than ever to keep recycling while we celebrate.
LESLIE: Get creative with less wasteful gift wrapping. Cut down on paper and plastic party goods. And as you make room for new electronics, use e-cycling centers to dispose of old gadgets.

LESLIE: Take advantage of holiday tree disposal programs, and any extra decorations and household goods can find new life when you donate them to charity. I’m Leslie Segrete.
