TOM: When it’s time to un-deck the halls, do the job wisely now to save time and trouble next year. Hi, I’m Tom Kraeutler.

TOM: As you dismantle seasonal decorations, take time to examine them for damage. Replace any burned out bulbs or half-lit strings, especially because you can easily stock up on more at post-holiday discounts.
LESLIE: To store your holiday lights, cut cardboard into 12 by 9 inch pieces and then wrap your lighting strings around them. Now your lights are going to stay tidy and they’ll also be easier to work with next year.
TOM: Store your holiday decorations in clear plastic bins so you can easily spot what’s inside, and be sure exposure to moisture doesn’t deteriorate the cheer.
LESLIE: Then go ahead and store your winter holiday boxes to the back of your storage area and bring all those spring decorations forward so you can get to them more easily. I’m Leslie Segrete.
