Halloween costume safety is a big issue that more and more costume manufacturers are taking into consideration. Whether homemade or store bought, your child’s costume should provide 3 things – adequate ventilation (so they can breathe), vision allowance (so they can see) and range of motion (so they can move freely). Dark Halloween costumes should only be worn in daylight, and if your kids plan on continuing into the night, strict guidelines for territories and curfews should be set to further enhance Halloween safety.
