Tip of the Day

Leaky Lights Waste Energy Dollars

Did you know that recessed lighting fixtures can add dollars to your energy bill if they’re not properly installed?  Air can easily escape and enter a structure through any space between a recessed lighting fixture and the ceiling opening. When this happens, valuable energy dollars are lost.  The best prevention is to install fixtures rated “IC”.  IC stands for Insulation Contact and means your decorative lights can be sealed and won’t attract high-energy bills.
