Keep The Rot Out

 

Did you know that your home’s exterior, and even your landscaping, can invite rot inside? Rot develops when wood becomes too wet. To keep rot at bay, watch out for roof leaks and overflowing gutters, and make sure lawn sprinklers point away from your home. Also, keep shrubs and bushes trimmed back away from the house and avoid earth-to-wood contact around decks and fencing to keep your home safe from this structural predator.
