Tip of the DayAvoid a Rat PackDo you seem to have company every winter? Do the local wildlife move into your home? There are some ways you can make your home a less welcoming place for rodents that might want to winter there. First, avoid creating nesting sites by getting rid of stacks of newspapers, cardboard boxes, and firewood. Keep bushes and hedges trimmed and away from your foundation. Mice can squeeze through spaces smaller than a nickel so seal up any potential entrances with sheet metal, steel wool or cement. Store any loose dry food, like pet food, in sealed containers. Keep a clean house – pick up crumbs and wash dishes right after meals. Also keep the insides of pantries and cabinets clean. These steps should help keep rodents away from your home this winter.Search Related Topics: Winter... |
