Leaky Hot Water Heater Could Mean Trouble

When was the last time you checked your water heater?  You just turn on the faucet and your hot water is there, right?  You should be checking your heater regularly.  One sign of a problem is a leak.  If the leak is major you need to:


1. Turn off the fuel supply
2. Shut off cold the water supply to the water heater
3. Open all hot water faucets in your home
4. Attach a hose to the drain valve at the bottom of water heater and drain unit of all water
