How-to Radio Hosts Named Spokespersons For 2005 National Hardware Show In Las Vegas

The Money Pit’s Tom Kraeutler and Leslie Segrete to Feature Trends and Products on Television and Radio

(NORWALK, CT May 3, 2005) -- Nationally syndicated home improvement radio hosts Tom Kraeutler and Leslie Segrete have been selected to serve as media spokespersons for the 2005 National Hardware Show® to be held May 17-19, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV.   Kraeutler and Segrete host The Money Pit, a nationally syndicated home improvement radio program heard on nearly 150 radio stations around the nation, as well as on both XM and Sirius Satellite Radio networks.

The expert team will scour nearly 700,000 square feet of exhibitor space looking for the thousands of innovative products and dozens of trends revealed at the show and deliver them to a national television, radio and print audience in one of the most comprehensive media tour productions ever staged from the show floor.

According to Beth Blake, Public Relations Director for the 2005 National Hardware Show, each year hundreds of media representatives attend the National Hardware Show but thousands more cover it from their home stations.

 “Using Tom and Leslie’s extraordinary ability to tell the stories of the innovative products revealed at this show to consumer audiences all over the nation will help our exhibitors bring those stories directly to the consumer,” said Blake.  “Plus, the competition for news exposure here is intense.  Tom and Leslie are well known and respected experts in their field and we have already had interest from major market consumer news media that want to interview them.”

Talkers Magazine recently named Kraeutler and Segrete among the "100 Most Important Talk Show Hosts in America".  In addition to their syndicated radio program, they are well-known industry spokespersons and appear regularly on network news and cable television programs.  They both write for House Beautiful Special’s Home Remodeling & Decorating, as well as do! Magazine.  Kraeutler appears regularly on CNN and Segrete is a popular cast member on TLC’s While You Were Out.

The media tour will commence Tuesday, May 17th, with a simultaneous four-hour Satellite Television Media Tour, hosted by Kraeutler from the floor of the show in the Las Vegas Convention Center, and a four-hour National Radio Media Tour hosted by Segrete.  Money Pit Media will also produce Video News Releases and Audio News Releases on the show.
