Q:

I heard on your show that there is a thermostat for heat pumps that will gradually increase the heat setting.  This is helpful when coming home to a cold house that needs to come up many degrees without kicking on the all expensive heating elements.   I have not been able to find this thermostat .   Many of the ones I have seen are programable, but I am not sure that "programable" means that it will gradually increase the temp.  Can you please tell me what to look for in finding the proper stat for my heat pump.   Thank you,  Rick from Delaware

You may need to go to an HVAC supply house or order one online such as:  http://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-RTH3100C1002-Digital-Heat-Thermostats/dp/B000VL440U/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt/190-3292143-4487930.
