Glass Stove Top Damaged

i put a pot of water on to boil and then fell asleep. i woke up to the smell of metal burning. the water had boiled away and the pot the bottom of the pot had melted to the burner. there bottom of the pot had a copper coating. is there anyway i can get metal off?

No, you will need to replace the glass top on the stove.  Check your homeowners insurance for coverage for this. Perhaps its covered.
