Burn on Countertop

I had a pan that burned dry on the stove.  Not thinking I set it off on my laminate countertop.  Left a BIG Burn.  Is there anything I can do to cover it up besides buying a new countertop.  It is a corner piece and there is a line between that and the other piece but don't know how to remove just that section.  I would appreciate any advice.
