In Search of the Ugliest Door in America

Mirror, mirror on the wall – whose front door is ugliest of all? Your home’s entryway can be a beautiful reflection of your personal taste and style — unless you’re cursed with the ugliest door in all the land. Now, Therma-Tru Doors is ready to break the spell with the kickoff of its fourth annual “Ugliest Door in America” contest, offering the winners an elegant front door makeover to complement their home’s architecture. Whether it’s peeling paint, warped wood, crummy colors, lousy locks or gritty glass, it’s all fair game in this door to-door competition. The winners will receive a Therma-Tru door system valued up to $5,000.

Homeowners are invited to visit www.myuglydoor.com to review the rules and regulations and enter to win. New this year is the opportunity to submit entries in a choice of two formats — either a written essay with door photos or a one-minute video describing why they deserve to win a new entry or patio door system from Therma-Tru. Contest entries will be accepted through July 1, 2008. Enter now!

But every time it rains, it still leaks and I’m worried about mold. Any tips to fix the leak and the hole in my dining room ceiling?
