A change in seasons often brings about a change in decor. This can extend to wall coloring and furniture finishes as a weekend project to transform interior spaces.
Fall is one of the most colorful and beautiful times of year, so it can be a great source of inspiration.
“This is the perfect time for homeowners to make the interior updates that they didn’t have time to tackle this summer. Additionally, fall is one of the most colorful and beautiful times of year, so it can be a great source of inspiration,” said Dallas-based design expert Katie Reynolds in a news release. “Our decor and color tips were designed to allow homeowners to bring the best parts of fall into their homes!”
Ace Hardware asked design experts from across the country to share their top choices from the company’s Clark+Kensington line to help usher in the warm feel of fall. Here are their recommendations:
Golden honey or yellow tones are an easy way to create a cozy interior atmosphere. Top colors from Clark+Kensington include Golden Ticket 19B-4 and Quince 20C-4 for inviting, versatile spaces.
Customers may be inspired by their natural surroundings, be they in the deep greens of pines trees, the rich reds and oranges of the changing leaves or the warm brown of tree branches. Colors such as Garland Green 28A-5, Dragon Fruit 03D-4, Darling 01D-4, Pumpkin Latte 13B-6, Dutch Tulips 10B-6, Star Anise N-W32 or Rustica N-W31 may be just the ticket for walls and painted furniture.
Even popular fall beverages can spur creative color selections. Also great as stand-alone colors for wall and trim, Swiss Coffee CW-W3 and Antique White CW-W7 pair well with Trench Coat N-C4 or Stormy Weather CW-C7 for a more complex background.
Dark and Contemporary
Add elegance and drama to interiors with nighttime-inspired hues, such as Charcoal Cashmere N-C14 or Dark Diversion 37B-7. The design experts recommend these hues for statement pieces within the home, especially in high-traffic areas that lend themselves to strong design, such as the entryway.
