Tree Removal

There are a few tree roots growing in the sidewalk in front of my home. I want to try and get rid of them, but I'm not really sure to go about that. Just like you point out I think someone might trip and hurt themselves. Thank you for posting this great article.

I am in the exact same situation as Dee is in right now. There is an old tree in my front yard, and its roots are wreaking havoc on the sidewalk in front of it. I was hoping that I could just dig underneath the sidewalk to remove the roots, but it has gotten pretty bad, and I'll probably have to break out the concrete, like you said. I wish there was a way to keep the roots from growing back there, so I wouldn't have to keep doing this every couple of years.
